Stephanie Kostopoulos has spent over twelve years “Discovering Her Scars” through one-on-one therapy with a professional psychologist. The insights and experience she gained, along with her years in a Christ-centered 12-step program, shines through in her writing. Her authentic first-person voice shows a clear, compelling, and inspiring journey of recovery.
Stephanie lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with her adopted greyhound, Tosh. She is aunt to three amazing nephews and niece. She co-founded Mother Daughter Projects, where she and her mom produce DIY videos for homeowners as full-time online content creators. They were finalists in the national TV show Home & Family’s DIY Star contest.

Discovering My Scars details the first thirty-two years of Stephanie’s life. As her thirty-third year of life began, she felt led to continue the journey by being an ongoing positive voice for mental health and recovery. Stephanie hosts the Discovering Our Scars podcast with friend and lawyer-turned-pastor, Beth Demme. In the podcast, Steph and Beth dig deeper into subjects presented in Stephanie’s memoir, Discovering My Scars. They share “the rest of the story” not in the book—including chatting with guests appearing in Discovering My Scars.
While the podcast is inspired by Stephanie’s book, the hosts expand on subjects that make each person unique. The mission of the podcast is to help people embrace the “embarrassing” parts of their lives and learn to love and value all of themselves. On the podcast, the hosts share their own experiences and invite guests to broaden the conversation by contributing their own wisdom. As in Stephanie’s book, the podcast does not “tell you what to do,” rather, it has the ability to inspire people through the hosts’ honest and heartfelt approach. |
